Panel Construction
Rally Master Backboard panels are made from solid-core, dense plastic with color molded into each panel. Their density and flexibility make them highly durable. The panels are green with a built-in white net line. Each 3/4-inch UV-stabilized plastic panel weighs 150 pounds. Custom colors and engraving are also available.
Reduced Sound
Rally Master uses patent-pending polyethylene dampeners and a special mounting method to greatly reduce sound and vibration. Tests show that a tennis ball hitting the backboard is as quiet as hitting a tennis racket, and even quieter than dribbling a basketball on asphalt.
Vandal Resistance
Rally Master panels are made from solid, dense plastic and are designed for excellent flexibility and strength.
Mountings System
Rally Master makes installation easier with a faster panel-mounting system. The universal fence bracket lets installers quickly adjust the strut alignment, even if fence posts are slightly bent or not perfectly straight. Backboards are usually installed on tennis courts with round pipe, but they can also be set up as free-standing units or on block walls. They fit standard fence post diameters of 2-1/2, 3, or 4 inches. The maximum spacing between posts is 10 feet. The 8-degree back-sloped models use aluminum columns.
Corrosion-resistant Hardware
Panels are attached to four horizontal mounting brackets. These strong cross braces are made from 12-gauge galvanized steel and connect to vertical posts with stainless steel hardware for extra durability. The bottom panel support is made from powder-coated aluminum.
FLAT VS. BACKSLOPED
Rally Master backboards come in flat or backsloped styles. Vertical backboards are the most common and are great for improving strokes and getting a good workout. They only extend 4 to 6 inches inside the court fence. The 8-degree back-sloped backboard returns the ball with a slight loft, so it lands farther from the board than with a flat wall. Some players and coaches like this because it gives them more time to prepare for the next shot and keeps them farther from the wall.
Sizing
Rally Master Backboards are manufactured in 10’ x 4’ panels. The minimum size available for purchase is 10’ x 12’. Backboards are sold in standard widths of 12’, 16’, and 20’, but there is no limit on length. The only requirement is that the total length is divisible by four feet.
WARRANTY
Backboards include a 20-year warranty, one of the best in the industry.
